Harry Kane dismisses Tottenham Hotspur transfer speculation
Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has dismissed speculation regarding his future at the club ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The England international is set to enter the final 12 months of his current contract at the North London side. A number of top sides around Europe are eyeing a move for the 29-year-old, especially Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Speaking to BT Sport (h/t Metro) after the win over Leeds United, Kane played down talks about a move away from the Lilywhites.
“No, no. That’s part and parcel of being a footballer – especially when you’re at the top of your game.”
Tottenham visited Elland Road on Sunday (28 May) in the Premier League. The North London side ended up being too good for Sam Allardyce’s team on the day and lost 4-1, getting relegated in the process.
The English skipper found the back of the net twice to take his goal tally to 30 in the English top flight this season. But overall, the Lilywhites have endured a disappointing campaign.
Spurs have gone without a trophy once, extending the drought to 14 years. We have also failed to qualify for a European competition after finishing eighth in the league table.
It goes without saying that the season didn't go how we wanted it to but I can only thank the fans for their relentless support all year. pic.twitter.com/8hNgpxVGkZ

Kane has been one of Tottenham’s only positives of the season. The English skipper broke Jimmy Greaves’ record to become the leading goalscorer in the club’s history. The forward also achieved the same feat for the Three Lions.
While individual accolades have stacked up for the English skipper during his time at Spurs, the striker has been unable to get his hands on major silverware.

Therefore, it would be understandable if Kane opted to part ways with the North London side next summer. The 29-year-old is a world-class player who deserves to end his career with dignity and honour. But it will be interesting to see what the forward will decide to do in the coming months.
