Alasdair Gold backs Tottenham to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently
Speaking in the Gold and Guest podcast, Alasdair Gold has backed Tottenham Hotspur to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently considering how much he could be worth in the future.
There are claims that the Swedish winger could return to his parent club Juventus at the end of the season, Gold’s comments shed light on the potential bargain that could be secured by Tottenham.
Speaking on his podcast, Gold revealed that all signs point towards a permanent move for Kulusevski, which could prove to be a shrewd acquisition for the club in the long run. The deal is said to involve a fee of approximately £30 million, spread over a period of five years.
No Arsenal player has provided more Premier League assists this season than Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski (7).

Considering the prodigious talent that Kulusevski possesses, this seems like a nominal price to pay. Especially the fact that the price has been divided across five years makes this a solid option for the club.
Speaking about the Kulusevski situation, here is what Gold had to say about what he thinks Tottenham will do
“The feeling is that that’s it now. When they take the option and pay the money. Although the money is payable over five years, and it’s such a good deal. It’s a no-brainer. I know Kulusevski has had an inconsistent season this year, but he’s only going to get better and better. £30m spread over five years, why would you hesitate? “
Gold’s optimism regarding the young Swede is infectious. Despite a somewhat underwhelming season, there is no denying that Kulusevski has displayed flashes of brilliance. We have seen it more than enough in a Tottenham shirt.
With proper coaching and guidance, the 23-year-old has the potential to blossom into a player worth far more than his current valuation. At that point, the club must not look back at this as a decision they regret.
The need for additional attacking depth at Tottenham cannot be understated. With their current squad already lacking in firepower, it is imperative that they reinforce their ranks. Kulusevski’s permanent signing would provide a significant boost to their attacking options, and his arrival could prove to be a turning point for the club.
