Juventus open to Gleison Bremer sale amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest
Serie A giants Juventus are open to parting ways with Gleison Bremer in the upcoming transfer window amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com.
While the centre-back is happy at the Old Lady and the Bianconeri are going through a financial crisis. In case of a big profit, none of the Turin-based club’s superstars are untouchable.
Over the course of the season, the North London side made contact with Juventus regarding the Brazil international. Atletico Madrid have also gotten in touch with the Old Lady. Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the 26-year-old.
Bremer signed for the Bianconeri in the summer of 2022 from Torino. The Brazilian had been a key player for Massimiliano Allegri’s team in the 2022/23 campaign.
However, the Turin-based club have not been at their best over the last few months. The Allianz Stadium side ended up finishing seventh in the league table after putting in some underwhelming performances over the course of the season.
Still, the 26-year-old centre-back has caught a lot of people’s attention and was a key part of Juventus’ resurgence mid-campaign. In 43 appearances in all competitions for them, the defender scored five goals and provided one assist.
As for Tottenham’s defence, we struggled to remain solid at the back and had a hard time keeping clean sheets during the season. Antonio Conte, Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason were unable to steady the ship.
Eric Dier and Cristian Romero did not live up to the expectations. Barcelona loanee Clement Lenglet made a few errors in defence as well. Davinson Sanchez has not been trusted at the North London side for some time now.
