According to the Sun, Arsenal are set to deliver a blow to Tottenham’s transfer plans as they prepare to swoop in for Victor Nelsson, the Danish defender from Galatasaray who was believed to be Ange Postecoglou’s first target since taking charge of the North London club.
Postecoglou, the former Celtic head coach, recently assumed the managerial reins at Tottenham Hotspur in the wake of a lacklustre season that saw the Lilywhites finish a disappointing eighth in the Premier League standings.
Consequently, they missed out on the opportunity to compete in European competitions next season. To exacerbate matters, the future of Tottenham’s star striker Harry Kane is far from certain.
