Ben Jacobs reiterates Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Alex Scott

Speaking on the Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin YouTube channel, journalist Ben Jacobs has reiterated Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in talented Bristol City youngster Alex Scott.

Scott’s exceptional performances throughout the season have not gone unnoticed, attracting attention from clubs across Europe. His remarkable achievements led to him clinching the prestigious EFL Young Player of the Year award.

With such remarkable form, it comes as no surprise that numerous clubs, including West Ham, Wolves, Inter Milan, Leeds United, Leicester City, Brentford, Liverpool, and Brighton, are vying to acquire his signature.

Tottenham are among the frontrunners seriously interested in securing Scott’s services, alongside Wolves. Both clubs have closely monitored the midfielder’s progress, with Wolves reportedly pursuing him for several months.

Interestingly, some of the other clubs previously interested, such as Leeds and Leicester, have since been relegated to the Championship. However, Brentford could emerge as potential contenders, along with Brighton, who have also expressed interest in Alex Scott.

Describing Scott as a phenomenal talent, Jacobs highlights his exceptional potential and maturity, despite his tender age. Even footballing giants like Liverpool have scouted the young midfielder, although they are unlikely to make a move for him.

Scott’s talent has earned him recognition from esteemed managers as well. Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola was effusive in his praise after facing Scott’s Bristol City in the League Cup last season, describing him as an “unbelievable talent.”

With Tottenham’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou, renowned for nurturing young talent, a move to Spurs could prove to be an ideal step in Scott’s development. Although he may not immediately break into the first team, he will be given his chance.
