Tottenham Hotspur have Barcelona-bound Athletico Paranaense forward Vitor Roque on their radar in the ongoing transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t football.london).
Spurs are looking to hijack the Brazil international’s move to the Camp Nou side. The North London side are one of the number of teams who have held talks with the forward’s representatives.
However, as things stand, the 18-year-old is determined to sign for the Blaugrana. The Spanish giants are close to agreeing a £38.6 million deal to acquire the services of the wonderkid.
Roque started off at Cruzeiro before making his way to Athletico Paranaense. The youngster has thrived and developed at the Brasileirao outfit over the years.
The Brazilian also made his debut for the national team this year. He came on as a substitute in the second half as the Canarinho’s took on Morocco in March, losing 2-1 in a friendly.
Barcelona have a host of talent in the attack, including the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele. They look set to add Roque to their ranks as well.

At Tottenham, Harry Kane has been leading the forward line for several years now. However, the 29-year-old is not getting any younger with age and has been linked with a move away this summer.
We have Richarlison at our disposal. The Brazilian was bought from Everton with high expectations. Unfortunately, the 26-year-old’s debut season at the North London side was underwhelming. Similarly, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski were unable to make a big enough impact last season.

Roque is one to watch out for in the future. However, a move to Barcelona is evidently on the cards for the youngster. But it remains to be seen whether Spurs will be able to present an obstacle for the Blaugrana in their pursuit of the 18-year-old.
