Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is a big admirer of Brighton star Karou Mitoma

Ange Postecoglou, the newly appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur, is said to have a keen eye on Brighton’s sensational dribbler, Kaoru Mitoma.

According to the Daily Mail, Postecoglou has expressed great admiration for the Japanese international, who impressed with his outstanding performances for the Seagulls last season, ultimately playing a crucial role in their qualification for European competitions.

Operating from the left flank, Kaoru Mitoma proved to be a constant menace to opposing defenders, consistently troubling them with his quick feet and remarkable ball control. His ability to navigate through tight spaces and create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates was truly remarkable.

Over the course of the season, Mitoma demonstrated his exceptional skills by contributing 10 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances for Brighton across all competitions. In many ways, he was the surprise package last season.

These impressive figures solidified his reputation as a highly talented winger with an innate ability to make an impact in the final third. Streets won’t forget what he did to Trent Alexander-Arnold in games against Liverpool.

Unsurprisingly, Mitoma’s remarkable performances have captured the attention of several clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur among them. Postecoglou could be intent on making a move for him.

The North London club, currently undergoing a summer rebuild under the guidance of Postecoglou, has already secured the signatures of promising talents such as Dejan Kulusevski, Guglielmo Vicario, and James Maddison.

While it remains uncertain where Mitoma’s future lies, it appears highly unlikely that he will depart Brighton in the upcoming season. Nevertheless, if Tottenham were to pursue the immensely talented winger, it could potentially be a significant coup for the club.
