Bayern Munich eyeing 2024 free transfer for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane

If Bayern Munich are unable to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer, they will try to convince him to join as a free agent in 2024, according to Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.

The Bundesliga giants are keen on acquiring the services of the 29-year-old in the ongoing transfer window. However, as things stand, the Bavarians do not know whether Daniel Levy will sell his prized asset.

To that end, the Allianz Stadium side are also discussing the possibility of persuading the English skipper to make his way to Germany next year.

However, Bayern’s priority is to sign Kane this summer. But the North London side have already rejected the Bundesliga giants’ first bid, which was around €70 million plus add-ons.

The Bavarians lack a quality number nine at the moment. After the departure of Robert Lewandowski in the summer of 2022 to Barcelona, the German outfit relied on Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to lead their line for most of the 2022/23 campaign.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world right now. The England international has consistently found the back of the net for Tottenham season after season and has established himself as a prolific goalscorer.

However, it is understandable that Spurs want to keep a hold of the forward. The 29-year-old has been the face of the North London side for several years.

Although, one would not be able to blame Kane if he did want to leave after admirably serving Tottenham. We have been unable to build competitive teams to win trophies for some time now.

On the other hand, at Bayern, players are guaranteed silverware in almost every campaign. It remains to be seen whether Levy will accept an offer from the Bundesliga giants anytime soon. If not, losing the English national for free will evidently leave a sour taste in our mouth.
