Juventus defender and AC Milan target Andrea Cambiaso on Tottenham Hotspur radar
Tottenham Hotspur have Juventus defender and AC Milan target Andrea Cambiaso on their radar this summer, according to Sky Sport reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Rossoneri are looking to bolster the left-hand side of their defence in the ongoing transfer window. Ballo-Toure is expected to part ways with the San Siro side in the coming weeks. As a result, they have their eyes on the Bianconeri’s 23-year-old left-back.
To that end, Milan have held initial talks with the Italian national’s representatives. However, the Rossoneri are joined by Spurs in the race, who have also ‘probed’ the youngster’s agents.
Cambiaso made his way through the youth ranks at Genoa. Then, in the summer of 2022, Juventus acquired his services. Subsequently, the defender was sent back on loan to Genoa to spend the 2022/23 campaign.
At the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara side, the Italian was a regular. He made 34 appearances in all competitions for Thiago Motta’s team, providing three assists. The 23-year-old also showcased his versatility playing as a right-back.
As things stand, Juventus rate Cambiaso very highly and want €25 million to part ways with him. Milan want to add the defender to their ranks to add cover for Theo Hernandez in the squad.
At Tottenham, we usually played Ivan Perisic or Ryan Sessegnon as the left wing-backs under Antonio Conte. However, the Croatian is now expected to leave the North London side this summer. On the other hand, the former Fulham star is on the sidelines at the moment.
Ben Davies is a natural option in Spurs’ ranks for the left-hand side of the defence. However, the Welsh national has been underwhelming over the tears at the club.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will strengthen the left-back position this summer. Cambiaso is a relatively unknown name with little top-flight experience. Therefore, whether the Lilywhites will opt to pursue him remains to be seen.
