Nottingham Forest join Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso
Tottenham Hotspur have been joined by Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the race for Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso, according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com.
The left-back is attracting attention from a number of teams in the ongoing transfer window. To that end, Spurs and the Tricky Trees are interested in acquiring his services this summer.
Apart from the two English top-flight sides, Serie A giants AC Milan also have the 23-year-old on their radar. However, as things stand, the Bianconeri are not looking to sell the Italy U21 international. But it remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
Cambiaso made his way through the youth ranks at Genoa before signing for Juventus in the summer of 2022. Subsequently, he was immediately loaned out to Bologna for the 2022/23 term.
The 23-year-old was a regular at La Dotta and was one of the first names in their starting lineup. In 34 appearances in all competitions for the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara side last season he provided three assists.
Now, the Italian is back at the Old Lady. Now, it will be interesting to see if Massimiliano Allegri has the defender in his plans for the upcoming campaign.
Forest relied on Renan Lodi for most of the 2022/23 term to play on the left-hand side of the defence. However, the Brazil international was only on loan at the City Ground side from Atletico Madrid.
As for Tottenham, Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon played a lot as our left-wing backs under Antonio Conte. At the moment, we also have Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie in our ranks.
