Alasdair Gold expects Tottenham to make a bid for Tosin Adarabioyo
According to journalist Alasdair Gold, Tottenham are expected to make a bid for talented Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo this summer.
The towering 6 feet 5 centre-back has been on Tottenham’s radar for quite some time now. Their keen interest in him is no secret, and it appears that the feeling is mutual, with the player also keen on a move.
According to renowned Tottenham expert Alasdair Gold, Adarabioyo himself is eager to don the white and navy blue of Spurs. Such enthusiasm from the player is a positive sign and could pave the way for a potential move to the club.
The timing seems to be in Tottenham’s favour as well. Talks over a new contract with Fulham have faltered, and with Adarabioyo’s current deal set to expire in the summer of 2024, the door to a transfer has swung open.
This could be a golden opportunity for Tottenham to snap up the talented defender and solidify their backline. He also has the experience of being a Premier League player and would help with the home-grown quota.
At present, the Spurs’ defensive lineup revolves around the accomplished Cristian Romero, whose exploits have earned him the prestigious title of a World Cup winner. However, one top-tier centre-back cannot bear the brunt alone.
While Tosin Adarabioyo could present a more affordable option compared to other defensive targets, signing just him would not be sufficient. Tottenham’s central defence needs a complete revamp and that doesn’t stop with the Fulham man.
There are a lot of things that go in favour of signing Adarabioyo. However, a very important thing to analyze would be whether Ange Postecoglou sees him fit for his system and that Australian tactician must have the last say.

The football market is always uncertain and teams do not always land their primary targets. In that sense, Adarabioyo would be a sensible acquisition and Tottenham must seriously consider getting a deal done for him.
