According to ABC Sevilla, journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed that Real Betis are exploring a double deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Davinson Sanchez and Giovani Lo Celso.

The Spanish side’s sporting director Ramon Planes and CEO Ramon Alarcon have embarked on a crucial journey to England, aiming to secure the signatures of Davison Sanchez and Giovani Lo Celso.

Amidst their pre-season tour, which saw them clash with Middlesbrough in a friendly on Sunday and gear up for an upcoming face-off against Burnley on Friday, Planes and Alarcon have used this trip as an opportunity to engage regarding the future of the Tottenham duo.

The Andalusian club has reportedly expressed a keen interest in reacquiring Giovani Lo Celso on loan, and Tottenham has been informed of Betis’ intentions. However, it seems that the operation is likely to be deferred until the latter stages of the transfer window.

The Spanish outfit’s ambitions don’t end there. They are also targeting Colombian centre-back Davison Sanchez as a potential acquisition to bolster their defensive ranks. Tottenham see him as an expendable in their squad.

What makes this potential double swoop all the more intriguing is the belief within the Betis hierarchy that they can secure Sanchez for a cut-price fee. This assumption is grounded in the fact that the Colombian defender is entering the final year of his contract (Transfermarkt) with Tottenham.

Giovani Lo Celso’s flair and creativity in midfield is something that cannot be undermined. His ability to thread precise passes, coupled with his eye for goal, has been a source of joy on numerous occasions.

However, consistency has been an issue for both players at this club. Moving elsewhere, maybe to Betis and starting fresh could just be what either one needs to press the restart button on their career.
