Gleison Bremer wants Juventus stay amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur

Juventus defender Gleison Bremer is not looking to move in the ongoing transfer window amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

As per Italian outlet Il Bianconero, the North London side are looking to acquire the defender’s services this summer. Spurs want the Brazil international to bolster their backline ahead of the upcoming campaign.

However, speaking to Tuttosport via transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, the 26-year-old acknowledged Premier League clubs making contact for him. But the centre-back has expressed his desire to stay at the Bianconeri.

“Yes, true – PL clubs wanted me but… they can wait. I want to stay at Juventus. I’m here to win titles and I’m at the best club in Italy.”

Bremer signed for Juventus in the summer of 2022 from Torino. The Brazilian has established himself as a quality defender in Serie A over the years in Turin.

At the Old Lady, the centre-back was secure for the most part in the previous campaign. Massimiliano Allegri’s team struggled initially in the 2022/23 term, but towards the end, they put in a run of solid displays.

Last season, Bremer made 43 appearances in all competition for the Bianconeri, scoring five goals and providing one assist. The Italian giants kept 20 clean sheets in the league.

At Tottenham, the backline struggled to shut down most offences and were unable to hold onto leads in the previous campaign. The North London side looked fragile under Antonio Conte as well as Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason.

Eric Dier, Cristian Romero and Clement Lenglet featured heavily for us in the 2022/23 term. We also have Ben Davies and Davinson Sanchez in our ranks for now. But we evidently need to add more quality to the defence.

Bremer is one of the best defenders in Italy at the moment. The centre-back has showcased his talent at the highest level. However, it seems like the Brazilian has no intention of parting ways with Juventus anytime soon.
