Bayern will ask Harry Kane to put pressure on Tottenham Hotspur for a summer exit
According to popular journalist Ben Jacobs, Bayern Munich will ask English superstar Harry Kane to put pressure on Tottenham Hotspur to force a move away from the club.
The German club’s executives met with chairman Daniel Levy to find out the conditions to carry out the Harry Kane operation. Although no breakthrough was reached, Bayern are positive that they can get it done.
Bayern Munich are reportedly £20 million short of Tottenham’s valuation of Kane, and Spurs are interested in including a buyback clause in any potential deal. Such details need to be ironed out before the deal proceeds.
It is one of the worst-kept secrets of this transfer window that Kane wants to leave Tottenham and join Bayern Munich. Despite the German club pushing continuously, Daniel Levy has refused to budge.
To be fair, Bayern’s relentless approach comes as a surprise considering the fact that they usually do not push so hard for a player. They are not notorious spenders and have always been known to be smart.
However, Harry Kane is no ordinary player and Bayern seem to be willing to go that extra mile to try and secure his signature. Apparently, they are willing to come back with a revised offer but the buy-back clause could be a sticking point.
Talks between the two clubs are set to continue throughout the week as both parties look to arrive at a conclusion. For their part, Bayern are likely to urge Kane to put pressure on Tottenham and force out a move.
However, Kane will know better. He tried to do it once in 2021 when he did not turn up for training to secure a move to Manchester City but that did not do anything in convincing Levy to sell him.

Kane will undoubtedly want to leave Tottenham on good terms if it comes to that. However, the move to Bayern seems to be closer with every passing day and it is safe to say that it is only a matter of time before we have to start looking at replacements.
