Eintracht Frankfurt pushing to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Elye Wahi
According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Eintracht Frankfurt has thrown their hat into the ring for the sought-after Montpellier forward Elye Wahi, who is also attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The young French sensation, who has garnered attention for his remarkable performances in Ligue 1, is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar for a potential move. However, the North London club are not the only contenders.
Wahi, a beacon of promise in the footballing landscape, has been making waves as one of Ligue 1’s brightest talents. His ceiling is frighteningly high and he could become a genuine superstar in the future.
With a remarkable track record that includes an impressive tally of 19 goals and six assists in just 33 league matches during the 2022-23 season, it’s evident that he possesses the raw talent and prowess that clubs, including Tottenham, are keen to harness.
It was being claimed that a bid for the French wonderkid was imminent from Tottenham. This revelation came amidst the backdrop of uncertainty surrounding the future of star striker Harry Kane.
While Tottenham had steadfastly rebuffed advances from Bayern Munich for their talismanic captain, the focus had subtly shifted to securing a rising star like Elye Wahi. Obviously, though, he is not ready to be Harry Kane’s replacement.
Eintracht Frankfurt, a club that has shown tenacity and ambition in recent years, are reportedly pushing ahead with their pursuit of Wahi. He could be eyed as a replacement for another Frenchman, Randal Kolo Muani.
It’s worth noting that Chelsea are also in the fray. The Blues are probably more advanced in negotiations than the other clubs on the list. However, nothing is finalized until a deal is officially signed.
