Four Tottenham Hotspur stars are facing the axe this summer

Tottenham are bracing themselves for a pivotal transformation ahead of the forthcoming season with the club set to wield the axe on as many as four players this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

With a steely determination to resurge, the club is all set to bid adieu to some of its lesser-utilised players, signalling a robust rebuilding phase under the astute guidance of manager Ange Postecoglou.

The club’s hierarchy is ready to execute a strategic reshuffle, an overhaul that could encompass the departure of up to four players. A prominent name in the list of potential departures is Joe Rodon, who found himself on a loan sojourn to Rennes in the previous season.

Similarly, the enigmatic Tanguy Ndombele, who showcased his prowess during a loan stint at Napoli last year, stands at a crossroads. His undeniable talents paint a vivid picture of the kind of footballer he can but his attitude leaves a lot to be desired.

Djed Spence, the 22-year-old right-back, appears to be standing at the threshold of a significant juncture. Amidst the Tottenham roster, already boasting an array of right-back options, Spence’s potential seems to have slipped through the cracks of limited chances.

The young footballer, starved of opportunities to demonstrate his mettle, might find himself boarding the summer transfer train. A move would not only offer him a new platform but also potentially unravel the dormant dynamism he carries within.

The departure that might tug at the heartstrings of Tottenham faithful the most is the anticipated exit of Hugo Lloris. The iconic goalkeeper, who had guarded Tottenham’s net for an impressive tenure, has to be shifted on.

A Tottenham legend in every right, Lloris is a player who you never wish to leave in this manner. It is just really sad that we have come to a stage where we need to make this painful decision for the good of the club.

Ange Postecoglou would be keen on keeping the right players at the club. If he feels that the aforementioned four players can leave, he has a point and we must make sure we ship them out before the transfer window closes.
