Tottenham Hotspur could part ways with Bryan Gil, who is currently sidelined, in the final days of the ongoing transfer window, according to football.london.

As things stand, the Spaniard is out of action after undergoing a groin operation recently. However, the forward is nearing the end of his recovery. To that end, the North London side could yet offload the 22-year-old this summer.

Gil has not had a lot of opportunities at the Lilywhites over the years. The youngster has been a bit-part player under various managers and Spurs could let him go if a suitable offer arrives in the coming days.

Tottenham signed the Spaniard in the summer of 2021 from Sevilla. The left winger made his way through the youth ranks at the Andalusian outfit and impressed at Eibar on a temporary move before the North London side came knocking for the attacker’s signature.

However, Gil has not been able to make a place for himself at Spurs. In January 2022, the winger joined Valencia on loan to get regular minutes. But the youngster struggled at the start of last season as well at the Lilywhites.

Subsequently, the Spaniard once again left Tottenham on a temporary move in January 2023. This time, the attacker re-joined Sevilla. He enjoyed a fruitful spell at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium side, winning the Europa League title.

This summer, the North London side have bolstered their attack with the addition of Manor Solomon. We also have Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Ivan Perisic in our ranks.

What Spurs seemingly lack is options in the number nine position. Richarlison is the only natural number nine at Postecoglou’s disposal at the moment. Unfortunately, the Brazilian has been underwhelming for some time now.

Gil is still young and has shown a lot of potential. But the youngster arguably needs consistent chances to develop further. Considering the competition for places at the Lilywhites, it would seemingly be best for the Spaniard to leave the club on loan once again.
