Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in Juventus sensation Andrea Cambiaso
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato (h/t Liverpool Echo), Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs showing interest in Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Genoa before moving to Juventus in 2022. He spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Bologna, making 35 appearances across all competitions, making four assists in the process.
A very versatile player, Cambiaso can play not just as a full-back on either flank but also in central midfield if needed. He can also push forward and serve as an auxiliary winger at times, adding more dynamism to his overall game.
The summer departures of Juan Cuadrado and Angel Di Maria will impact Juventus’s thrust out wide on the right, calling for more players to fill the void. Massimiliano Allegri appears to have plans for Cambiaso as the youngster started the club’s first game of the Serie A campaign.
A series of strong performances should make it difficult for us to convince the Bianconeri to consider any bids for Cambiaso. Full-backs play a key role in Ange Postecoglou’s system at Tottenham and adding the Italian to the roster will give us further depth and dynamism.
However, a move will be further complicated with Liverpool and Nottingham Forest also in the mix. While we are miles ahead of Forest in the footballing landscape, it could prove to be a difficult battle should Liverpool make their move.
While his aerial prowess and crossing could do with some improvement, Cambiaso is an otherwise reliable defender who excels in passing and tackling. His intelligence also helps him make interceptions regularly, potentially helping his side retain possession.

With just days to go before the transfer window slams shut, Tottenham’s attention appears to be on ridding themselves of first-team outcasts rather than bringing in fresh faces. However, should an opportunity arise to land Cambiaso, it remains to be seen if Daniel Levy will make his move.
