Ange Postecoglou has given an update Tottenham Star currently sidelined due to an injury
Ange Postecoglou has taken Tottenham Hotspur to new heights this season. What’s most impressive about their form this season is the fact that they’ve been able to play like this even with a depleted roster.
Cristian Romero who had just returned to the fold has once again been sidelined due to injuries. He was taken off during the 46th minute of their game against Everton. Another heavy blow to a roster that has already been stretched to its limits.
But, now to share some better and more positive news. Postecoglou has shared an update on Tottenham Star Micky Van de Ven after the player himself shared an injury update while at the Darts Championship.
While speaking to Football.london the Greek-Australian coach spoke on several different topics. He shared an update on Van de Ven and Cristian Romero before going on to share some insight into his squad selection for the next game.
Let’s hear what the Tottenham Hotspur chief had to say. (h/t Football.london)
Where did he say that? Ah the darts. I’ve said before I wouldn’t be taking players’ views on their recovery process. He’s getting closer, we’ll see him sometime in January. I don’t think Burnley but Man United on the 14th i think potentially.
While he has cleared that Van de Ven doesn’t have the authority to share injury updates, he himself has said that a potential return could be in the books for him in their game against Manchester United.
Postecoglou has said that nothing is concrete at the moment. He has said that he would first like to see the player in action before he makes a decision. Van de Ven’s return completely depends on his form and comfort in training at the moment.
