Tottenham Hotspur are looking to close the deal as soon as possible for Radu Dragusin of Genoa

According to i News, Tottenham Hotspurs are trying to close the deal for Radu Dragusin and it looks like a £26m deal is looking to be a probable option right now.

Ange Postecoglou has emphasised the importance of swiftly bolstering his squad with a defender this month, and it appears that Daniel Levy shares the same sentiment, as negotiations for Genoa’s Radu Dragusin are underway. It seems that Spurs have reached an agreement on personal terms with the talented 21-year-old Romanian player. However, they have not yet met the Serie A club’s asking price.

Eric Dier has fallen out of favour under Ange Postecoglou. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have proven to be injury-prone until now. Ben Davies though has done a good job of filling in when required.

With Dragusin agreeing to personal terms, the deal will be practically finalised once the clubs can agree on the fee.

Dragusin displays a strong and assertive style of defending, similar to that of Romero. He has received high praise for his strong presence in the box and his exceptional leadership qualities. If his signing does come to fruition, it will indicate that Tottenham are ready to support their manager, who is still in the early stages of his project.

Micky Van de Ven had a fantastic beginning to his Premier League journey, but unfortunately, an untimely injury forced him to the treatment room. He is closing in on a return though and should be back soon.

If Dragusin signs for Tottenham in the first week of January, as Postecoglou prefers, there is a high chance that he could make his debut against Manchester United. This is especially likely since regular partner and Spurs vice-captain Cristian Romero will be out until the end of January.
