Gary Neville predicts Tottenham Hotspur’s future saying they can finish above Arsenal
According to Football.London, former Manchester United player Gary Neville makes a top-four prediction saying Tottenham Hotspur can finish above Arsenal this season.
The Ange Postecoglou-managed team currently occupy the fifth position in the Premier League after their Sunday night 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. They had to recover twice after two brilliant goals by United’s Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford, but they showed resilience equalizing through Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison.
Neville said on Sky Sports after the game against United:
“I think actually when you watch them, when they get the five players back that are missing and they’re all fit, they can be better than Liverpool and Arsenal this season.”
In Neville’s opinion, the key for Spurs is to maintain the fitness of their players throughout the season. Doing so would greatly increase their chances of finishing ahead of both Liverpool and Arsenal.
Micky van de Ven made a triumphant return to the starting line-up for the Spurs boss after recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him since November. He was given a first start back in the Premier League as was Timo Werner, who provided the assist for the second goal in the game.
If Son Heung-min and James Maddison can manage to stay fit for the majority of the remaining season, it could greatly enhance their prospects.
However, one cannot say with certainty whether the forecasts made by Gary Neville will become true or not but it is evident that football fans and lovers of sports betting always pay attention to what Tottenham does in the second half’s season. There are sure to be many curious eyes as key players return, and it will be interesting to observe the effect that they may have on team performance and league positioning thereafter.
