Tottenham could make a move for Premier League proven Manchester City flop

As reported by The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur could soon make a move for 28-year-old Manchester City flop Kalvin Phillips. The English midfielder has had a rough time under Pep Guardiola and has struggled for minutes.

He has made 10 appearances for the team this season playing only 318 minutes out of a possible 900. The player is eager to prove himself and is aware that his career is being hurt at Manchester City.

Postecoglou who has already had an impressive transfer window could pounce on the opportunity to bring Phillips over to the Lilywhites. However, City paid quite a pretty penny for the 28-year-old and might not let him go for cheap.

Manchester City paid £45m to Leeds United for the signing of Phillips. Pep Guardiola has apologised for being unable to find a place in his squad for the 28-year-old, and time away from the club could prove to be beneficial for both sides.

It would be best if Tottenham could work out a loan deal for the player. The Lilywhites will not have to pay a big sum, Manchester City will not lose out on the player, and Kalvin will just be happy to get some playing time.

He is expected to depart from the club this month and it has become more and more likely that Tottenham will be his final destination. The situation will be closely monitored as it develops over the upcoming weeks.
