Tottenham Hotspur will host Bayern Munich for a friendly game as part of the Harry Kane deal

Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich will be facing each other on two occasions as a part of the Harry Kane deal, per The Express. The first leg of the face-off will occur in the second week of August in London. The proceeds will go to Spurs.

There aren’t many details about the return leg but it is expected to happen in 2025. The agreement was made during the negotiations for Harry Kane’s transfer. The 30-year-old left his long-time home for good ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The club and the player kept rejecting all offers over the years before finally accepting Bayern Munich’s bid for €95.00m last summer. Harry Kane has always been a prolific goal despite playing in arguably the most difficult domestic league in the world.

His goal-scoring exploits have grown exponentially under Thomas Tuchel. The 30-year-old has 26 goals and eight assists under his name for Die Roten from just 23 games across all competitions.

The homecoming of the champ

Harry Kane did not have easy boyhood football days. He was released by Arsenal at the age of eight for being chubby and not very athletic. He failed the trial at Tottenham Hotspur before managing to find his way at Watford academy.

Spurs tracked Kane’s progress at Watford and offered him a chance in North London. The striker was a late bloomer as he spent most of his youth days away from home. He returned to London while almost 21. From then, the Premier League saw the rise of one of the best forwards to ever grace the game.

Harry Kane’s love for Tottenham made him stay at the club despite not winning trophies. The England captain also owns an infamous record of scoring the most number of goals without a trophy.
