Leeds United could mount a sneaky move as they hope to sign Tottenham veteran
According to GIVEMESPORT, Leeds United have been keeping tabs on versatile Tottenham Hotspur veteran, Ben Davies. They believe that the English footballer could lose his place in the squad because of the Lilywhites’ recent activities.
The team has recently signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa in a £26.7m deal, Davies who has been playing as a centre-back because of the team’s injury issues could lose his place to the young Romanian star.
Moreover, even without Dragusin, Postecoglou now has the option to deploy both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, who are both amongst the best defenders in the Premier League right now.
Let’s have a look at what reputed Journo, Ben Jacobs had to say about the situation. (h\t GIVEMESPORT)
“I think that Leeds are keeping across Ben Davies because, if Tottenham are to make some changes in their squad, he might be the one that becomes available.“
Some changes they have made and with the kind of transfer window that Postecoglou has been having, some more could be on their way. Davies’ best years are already behind him so now would be the perfect time for the Spurs to move him.
Leeds United is hanging onto this hope as their boss, Daniel Farke has been in the market for full-backs. 30-year-old Davies is an excellent full-back who can also play almost any position on the defensive line.
The chances of Ben Davies leaving will only increase once Postecoglou is finally able to field a healthy squad. If the 30-year-old falls further down the pecking order, we could see him departing from the Tottenham outfit.

Davies has long been a solid player for the team having made 327 appearances for them. Fans will surely not be happy if he ends up leaving the club, but nothing is official as of now, since Leeds haven’t even made a formal inquiry yet.
