Jermaine Jenas reveals Gareth Bale’s pre-match meal included beans and toasts
Tottenham Hotspur cult hero Jermaine Jenas reveals what Gareth Bale used to eat before the match, per Daily Mail. The former Spurs midfielder opened up about Bale’s strange meal plan’ during TNT Sports’ coverage of Brighton vs Wolves.
Jenas’ co-commentator Adam Summerton initiated the conversation by revealing Brighton star Pascall Gross’ meal plan ahead of each game. Jermaine Jenas then responded by sharing his former teammate’s pre-game diet rituals. He said:
‘The only meal I remember looking at and thinking why and how was Gareth Bale. He used to have like five slices of toast and a mountain of baked beans. I tried it once, it didn’t go well for me.’
