Tottenham Hotspur decide to not sell our talented midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg in this transfer window
According to The Standard , it looks like Tottenham Hotspur have decided not to sell our talented midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in this transfer window.
Hojberg wants to play regularly, but if he leaves in January, the Spurs will need someone else for his position who can be as talented as the Dane. It is very difficult to believe that they would consider a loan deal which does not provide for a compulsory purchase option in the summer.
Having started the month so well, Tottenham fans are eagerly awaiting what the January transfer window has in store for the club. Historically, the team is known for going deep in the market. This season, however, they have made important signings, such as the loan signing of Timo Werner and the signing of Radu Dragusin on a permanent deal
In an ideal scenario, Tottenham could benefit from bolstering their midfield options. However, it seems they might have to exercise patience until the summer to reinforce that particular area of the pitch. It seemed that the potential addition to the midfield would depend on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s future, as it currently appears that he will remain in N17.
Hojbjerg finds himself on the bench solely due to Ange Postecoglou’s selection criteria. No matter what the situation is, the Dane is a valuable addition to any team. His impressive performances have attracted the attention of big clubs such as Juventus, with rumors swirling that he has also caught the eye of Atletico Madrid in the past.
As Spurs look to take up a fight in the Premier League season that promises to be tough and perhaps compete for the fourth place, Hojbjerg would need to stay. His endless efforts to work, his wealth of experience and superb leadership qualities can definitely turn him into a very key resource in the manager Ange Postecoglou’s plan for the rest of the season. In addition to that, he brings a valuable element of depth to the midfield.
