Besiktas prodigy Semih Kilicsoy is Tottenham’s latest target
Tottenham eye Turkish youngster Semih Kilicsoy, per Football Fancast. The Turkey and Besiktas U19 star is pursued by many clubs with Spurs being one of them as per the Turking media outlet Fanatik.
Fanatik claims that scouts from several top European clubs were present to watch the promising prodigy in action this January. Another media outlet TurkishNewsWorld, reports that Besiktas have an asking price of at least €25m.
The staggering price tag comes as a result of Kilicsoy’s entry into the first team for the Super Lig outfit. Though, there are no words around Tottenham’s progression on this move. The Besiktas prodigy has scored five and assisted once from 10 Super Lig games.
He has been a phenomenal goal scorer for Besiktas U19 squad, earning him a senior team call-up. The Premier League could be something that the Turkish youngster can explore and grow as a player. Whether it is too soon, will be a question that would remain.
Tottenham’s panic pursuits
Multiple snubs can be frustrating and that’s what we are witnessing at Tottenham. The Lilywhites look well-stacked with their squad but are linked to almost every other player available in the market.
The 18-year-old Semih Kilcsoy is very much in the early stages of his career and it is not sure whether Ange Postecoglou would require his services yet. The current situation of the club does not give them the liberty to ‘groom’ anybody.
After bowing out of every other competition, the Premier League is their only hope to try and save the season. Ange and Co. occupy the fifth spot in the league table. They are well-prepared to finish the season with a full-fledged squad.

The return of Son, Bissouma and Matar Sarr should further fortify their squadron. In the wake of all these, it is unrealistic to sign a youngster who does not have enough experience in the highest level of football.
