Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are chasing Copenhagen’s sensational winger Roony Bardghji

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are lining up for the race to sign Copenhagen star Roony Bardghji, per The Express. The 18-year-old has been sensational this season for the Danish outfits. He has seven goals from 17 Superliga games.

Naturally a right winger, Bardghji can also ace on the right flank or at the centre. He’s been one of the emerging players in the Superliga lately. However, it was the Champions League clash against Manchester United that brought Roony under the limelight.

His 87th-minute goal after coming in as a substitute gave FC Copenhagen a sensational 4-3 victory against Manchester United. The teen has since been linked to the Red Devils. London clubs Chelsea and Tottenham have entered the race as well.

Apart from these three, there is also Aston Villa and Brighton in the bidding war. The summer transfer window within the Premier League should be interesting, especially after a disappointing winter window.

Can Spurs edge past their opponents?

Roony Bardghji is chased by many top-tier teams. To land his signature won’t be a walk in the park for The Lilywhites. Even though Ange Postecoglou’s team are better than the competitors, he will have to convince the prodigy further.

Predominantly a right winger, Roony will be facing competition from Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski. The latter two have convinced the manager of their skills and remain his favourites.

The Aussie manager will have to change his tactics or formation, should he wish to accommodate the Copenhagen star within his ranks. The 18-year-old won’t be risking a move which would cut down his playing minutes, especially at the peak of his career.
