Ange Postecoglou is adamant his side is not enduring a ‘bad form’

Ange Postecoglou reacts to a journalist in the post-match press conference who questioned Tottenham‘s ‘form’ after the 1-2 defeat against Wolves, reports Football London. The Spurs manager was asked: “Are there tricks psychologically as a manager you can use to get yourselves out of this form and get yourselves firing again?”.

The use of the word ‘form’ didn’t sit well with the Lilywhites gaffer who responded by saying: “Out of this form? It’s one game”. The verbal exchange continued as the journo reminded the former Celtic boss of his side’s last three games. Postecoglou responded by reminding the media about the win (against Brighton) while also emphasizing the difference between form and performance.

The manager was also asked if there are any psychological tricks in the bag to revive his team. To which Ange swiftly responded there is no magic but pure hard work in the picture.

The North Londoners were set to face Chelsea next weekend but the game got postponed due to the latter’s EFL final fixture on February 25.

Tottenham’s blank canvas

Spurs have a blank canvas ahead of them for the remainder of the season. With so many things going wrong, the team do not know which aspect to prioritise. It could either be taking care of the team’s fitness, avoiding defensive slip-ups, stopping dropping points easily, or the fourth place within the table.

Unfortunately, Ange is burdened with all the issues together. James Maddison is not quite the same after his return from the injury and the boss was without his star wingbacks Udogie and Pedro Porro.

The Lilywhites have now dropped a position to occupy the fifth spot. Aston Villa has picked up form yet again, making things difficult for Tottenham. They now have two weeks to recoup and start afresh.

The Spurs fans were hopeful this season but all they should care about is salvaging the season without further blows. There are 13 games left for the North Londoners to turn the tides.
