Former Tottenham star Harry Kane is tipped to return to England with Chelsea
Former Tottenham Hotspur goal-scoring machine Harry Kane might return to England, per U.S media outlet El Futbolero USA. The media speculates Harry Kane will enjoy a comeback to the Premier League, however, not with his former team.
Chelsea is expected to send the first offer for the England striker. El Futbeloro also reports that sources close to Harry Kane have confirmed the Bayern Munich man’s interest in returning to his previous home.
Kane joined Bayern Munich this season hoping to add his first-ever career trophy. The feat looked certain with Bayern Munich, who have been dominating the Bundesliga for over a decade. Little did he know Bayer Leverkusen would emerge out of the blue.
Despite being the league’s top-scorer, Harry Kane cannot help his team topple the league table and they seem virtually out of the race. The Bavarians are eight points clear off the top after 22 games.
The two-way affair
The news related to Harry Kane’s move to Chelsea seems a bit far-fetched considering his history with the club. More than that, his Bayern Munich move is still fresh and the star might not give up without putting up a fight.
However, if we have to put ourselves through a hypothetical situation where Harry Kane might accept the Chelsea move, we cannot see a reason why the duo won’t enjoy it. As for Mauricio Pochettino, he will finally land a prolific goalscorer around whom he can build a team.
The transfer fee shouldn’t be a problem as long as the Argentine has Todd Boehly’s bank account backing him. As for Harry Kane, he can return to the league and gun his record of becoming the highest goal-scorer in the history of the league. He is currently 47 goals behind top-placed Alan Shearer.
Considering the realistic approach, the former Spurs player has more chances of winning a trophy with Bayern Munich, than with Chelsea. One bad season cannot end Bayern’s dominance and the Bavarians will likely bounce back next season, or even this.
