Tottenham target Viktor Djukanovic is up for sale with a condition

20-year-old Montenegrian winger Viktor Djukanovic of Swedish side Hammarby has been in fine form for the club since his move from his home country in January 2023. As is the case with any player in decent form, Djukanovic has seen himself linked with a move to clubs like Genoa, Bologna and PSV Eindhoven.

He has been a constant starter for his country alongside free-scoring at the club level. In 34 appearances across all competitions for Hammarby, he has 13 goals. Tottenham also see themselves linked with a move for the versatile attacker via Fotboll Direkt, who could actually move this summer as Hammarby’s chief says that a good offer could do the trick to sway Djukanovic away from Sweden. In an interview with Sportbladet, here is what Mikael Hjelmberg, the Sporting Director of Bajen had to say:

“It is absolutely not and I have been quite clear about that as well, at the same time that everything has its price. Should there be a rudely good offer, we will have to evaluate it in any case ,”

“You have a player in this as well who has ambitions who wants to go to Europe. You need to explain how we think, that we think it might be good for him to stay. We also understand that he will not remain in Hammarby for three years. There will be a transfer, it’s just about the timing,” 

For Tottenham, acquiring Djukanovic would address a pressing need for depth on the left wing. While Son Heung-min remains a pivotal figure for the club, having additional options such as Djukanovic would provide valuable competition and support in the attacking department.
