Tottenham compete with Premier League rivals for Wolves star Pedro Neto

Pedro Neto and his stellar performances for Wolverhampton Wanderers have certainly caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur. With 21 appearances across all competitions this season, the Portuguese winger has notched up three goals and eleven assists, showcasing his ability to make a significant impact on the pitch.

For Tottenham, securing a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the 2024/25 season is a top priority, and bolstering their squad with players of Neto’s calibre could be key to achieving that goal. His dynamic playing style and creative flair would add a new dimension to Spurs’ attacking lineup, providing valuable options for head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Furthermore, competing in Europe’s most prestigious club competition would undoubtedly enhance Tottenham’s appeal to top-tier talents like Neto. The allure of Champions League football, coupled with the opportunity to play for a club with a rich history and ambitious aspirations, could make Spurs an attractive destination for the Portuguese winger.

Pedro Neto is expected to Leave Wolverhampton Wanderers in the upcoming summer transfer window

As the summer transfer window approaches, the race to secure Neto’s signature is likely to intensify, with Tottenham Hotspur poised to be among the frontrunners vying for his services. His potential arrival would not only bolster Spurs’ squad but also signal their intent to compete at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano believes Tottenham are “worth keeping an eye on” as they bid to bring the 23-year-old to North London in the 2024 summer transfer window. Alongside Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be monitoring his transfer situation at the Monileux Stadium.

The Standard claims that Wolverhampton Wanderers will ask for a club-record figure of £60m to price away the Portuguese from West Midlands in the summer. Neto still has three years left on his contract at Black Country, and Spurs have a formidable challenge ahead of them to beat Liverpool and Arsenal to the 23-year-old’s signatures.

Wolves are set for a massive payday if Neto were to move away from the Monileux Stadium in the summer

Fabrizio Romano speaking in his CaughtOffside column revealed that “someone” at Hotspur Way perceives a need for a winger with the 23-year-old being looked at as “fantastic solution,” though with Arsenal adjudged as favorites to land the Portuguese Fabrizio warns about Liverpool in the Neto chase.

“Tottenham are worth keeping an eye on too, because someone at the club believes that they need a new winger in the summer, so Pedro Neto could be a fantastic solution. He knows the league very well so this could be an important factor but also they believe that he could be a good player for the idea of football wanted by Angel Postecoglou.

“So I think these two clubs [Arsenal and Tottenham] will be interested in Pedro Neto, and I would also keep a close eye on Liverpool – let’s see who’s going to be their manager, let’s see who’s going to be their director and what kind of strategy they will have.”

Moreover, Romano warns of Liverpool’s interest in the Neto chase, signalling that the race for his services could become even more competitive with the involvement of another top Premier League club. Liverpool’s reputation, along with their track record of success under Jurgen Klopp, could make them formidable contenders in the pursuit of Neto.
