Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison will miss nearly a month thanks to injury

Tottenham Hotspur manager confirms Richarlison will be out for three or four weeks following a knee injury, according to Football London. The news comes off as a shocker for Tottenham fans who were happy about the Brazilian’s recent form.

Richarlison was subbed off in the 71st minute during Tottenham’s last Premier League clash against Wolves. Little did anyone know, the injury would be big enough for the star to miss out a considerable period. He hit the purple patch lately scoring nine goals from the last 10 Premier League games.

Tottenham are engaged in a heated battle with Aston Villa for the fourth spot. The former Everton man’s injury got to get Ange sweating about his goal-scoring chances. Chelsea’s EFL final outing meant Tottenham had a two-week gap between their games.

However, it wasn’t enough for Richie to get into the teamsheet. Ange Postecoglou revealed the details while talking to the press ahead of the Palace clash.

The hoodoo continues

Tottenham struggled with injury woes throughout the season. It all began with the dreadful 1-4 loss against Chelsea back in November where Micky van de Ven and James Maddison picked up injuries. Losing two of their strongest players hurt the North Londoners badly.

It was followed by Cristian Romero’s injury, leaving the heart of defence open for Spurs. The present scenario is different but again demotivating. Ange revealed Pedro Porro will be out for a couple of more weeks.

He did say Destiny Udogie attended the training session but not sure if he’ll start. There is also Ryan Sessegnon who underwent surgery recently, his second this season, and is ruled out for the remainder of the season.
