Steve Nash comments on Micky van de Ven’s Instagram post to show his support for Tottenham after the victory against Palace

Former NBA legend Steve Nash gets into Micky van de Ven‘s comments section on Instagram, showing his support for Tottenham Hotspur. The Tottenham centre-back uploaded pictures of him in action against Crystal Palace with a caption that said: “Locking the points at N17 🤍”

Nash commented: “🔝”, probably hinting at Micky van de Ven’s performance and also cheering for Tottenham. Steve Nash recently narrated his connection and undying love for Tottenham while speaking to Dejan Kulusevski as seen from the video uploaded on Tottenham’s YouTube Channel.

Steve Nash said he has been a Tottenham fan from his childhood days due to his father’s side of the family who belongs to Tottenham. Nash also revealed Glenn Hoddle to be his all-time favourite Tottenham player. The former Brooklyn Nets coach voiced his support for Spurs after the Palace game.

Nash was one of the many notable figures to comment on Micky’s post. Cristian Romero, Lo Celso, and Vicario were the others to show their support in the comments section.

Tense times for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur started the 2023/24 Premier League campaign on front-foot. They succumbed to poor fitness and suspensions, dropping points and positions in the league table. Things started looking stable for the North Londoners in January, but not quite consistent.

Ange Postecoglou’s men are far from gunning for the title but a UCL spot for the next season is the best they could salvage. However, Unai Emery’s squadron stands in their way. Aston Villa lead Tottenham by five points, having played a game more than their rivals.

Coincidentally, Tottenham will be hosted by Aston Villa in next week’s Premier League clash. The face-off should give a clear picture of the standings. However, the unpredictable nature of the league makes the journey difficult for Spurs. To add to that, Spurs are yet to face four of the other five ‘Big Six’ teams.

The North London outfits will face Newcastle, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool in a row between 9th April and 4th May. There are only 12 games and a couple of tough fixtures left for the Lilywhites to meet their goal.
