Tottenham star Micky van de Ven likes to play PlayStation to turn his attention away from football

Micky van de Ven revealed he resorts to PlayStation as a recreational activity while speaking on Tottenham Hotspur‘s fun segment ‘Getting To Know’. The central defender answered a series of fun questions to help the fans understand him better. The interview was shared by the club’s official page.

The interviewer asked the Dutchman: “How do you switch off after a match?” Micky said:

“I just go home and watch a movie or hop on the PlayStation with my friends, just something to switch off away from football, to take my mind of it.”

Many would be able to resonate with Micky van de Ven’s favourite pastime activity. Binging shows/movies or playing games of PS are some of the most favourite time-killing activities in the modern world. The segment will certainly help the fans understand the 22-year-old better.

His response is a testament that off-the-pitch he is a simple human just like all. Micky is one of the fiercest centre-backs in the Premier League right now.

The rise of a star

Micky van de Ven arrived in north London ahead of the 2023/24 season as the club’s third-most expensive centre-back after Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez. He settled with his new life in England in a jiffy and became one of the most prominent players in Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

The club’s poor condition during the 22-year-old’s absence speaks volumes of his impact on Spurs. He has formed a formidable partnership with Cristian Romero. On the other hand, Micky van de Ven also broke the record to be the fastest player in Premier League history.

While the ‘Getting To Know’ segment helped the fans understand the ‘off-the-pitch’ version of Micky van de Ven, his on-the-pitch calibre was detected by them from day one.
