The 22-year-old has become the fastest player in history to reach a record-breaking speed of 37.38 km/h which has come with a couple of hamstring injuries and one of those hamstring pulls cane in the second half of the massive three points at Villa Park on Sunday. Although this one is not believed to be as significant as the first one that kept him out for ten games.

Micky has established a strong partnership with Cristian Romero at the heart of Spurs defence and there are indications of mutual respect between both, as the Former Wolfsburg star describes the Argentine as a ‘top-class player’ and spoke about how Romero helped Micky settle in at the club following his move to the club in the summer.

Speaking to Football. London, Micky van de Ven said:

“For me, Romero is world class. He won the World Cup but how you see him on the pitch, he’s a leader. He wants to take the team and he’s always 100%. Sometimes of course people see also he’s a bit too aggressive, but he’s a top class player on the ball and without the ball with his defending. I can promise you that this guy is not scared of anyone and he keeps going every game. From the start he was here helping me. He was there from day one, helping me. He spoke with me and he helped me with the system they play because I wasn’t here for pre-season. He helped me at the beginning and he’s just a world class player.”
