Tottenham ace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg pushes referee in a bizarre incident.

Denmark midfielder and Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg pushed the referee during Denmark’s draw with Switzerland. It was an incredibly bizarre incident which is currently causing ripples in news related to the game.

Apparently, Hojbjerg was frustrated at the official blocking his path to the ball. He then proceeded to shove Allard Lindhout over. He got away unscathed from the incident, according to a report by the Daily Mail UK.

The Danish player for a total of 84 minutes in the friendly with Switzerland but kept coming out goalless in the match, leading to an aggressive feud with the referee. Manchester United stars Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen were also playing with him.

Fans tried to decipher whether the act was justified or if it was an offence. Multiple users said that Hojbjerg would have walked off with a red had he pulled something like this in the Premier League.

On the other hand, many users could empathise with his frustrations. They also lauded his aggressive gameplay by saying that he had the team’s ambitions at the centre of his actions and just wanted to win.
