Why is Arsenal vs Tottenham clash postponed in April?

Date:

North London Derby rescheduled but dates not fix yet…

According to the Arsenal’s official website, the Premier League fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and the Gunners has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 28 at 2 pm. However, the North London Derby will be preponed to Saturday, April 27 at 12.30 pm should Arsenal reach the Champions League semi-finals which is arranged to be played on Tuesday, April 30.

Arsenal are playing for the Premier League title and Ange Postecoglou & Co. will have a massive say in whether the Gunners can end their Premiership title drought. The Reds from North London have not won the Premiership since the Invincible season in 2004 when former Crystal Palace manager Patrick Viera was their captain.

High Stakes and Bragging Rights

North London Derby is much more than just another football game.

North London Derby is all about emotions and having that bragging rights between the Lilywhites and the Gunners with the city divided between the sea of reds and whites. But there is too much more to the game this time around…

Tottenham Hotspur are in the race for the Champions League qualification for the 2024/25 campaign as they continue to breathe down Aston Villa’s neck. It is important to qualify for the European elite competition for Ange Postecoglou’s team, as it not only gives assertions about the progress they have made under the Australian manager but also a selling point to attract the best players from around Europe.

Tottenham are looking for a top-four finish this season.
