Ange Postecoglou is here to stay at Tottenham for a long time
The Athletic’s David Ornstein firmly believes that Ange Postecoglou plans to stay at Tottenham Hotspur for the long haul. The coach has had a wonderful season with the team and his success has attracted a lot of attention. He might have put Spurs back on the map.
In his latest Q and A, Ornstein spoke about how Postecoglou might not be considering an exit anytime soon. Despite recent links with Liverpool and Manchester United, people are convinced that he is seeking to stay with the team which has been crewing for a while. Postecoglou, after all, is not seeking new pastures, and the news has brought with it much relief.
“I imagine those in positions of power at Tottenham are pleased with his work and it is no coincidence that he is being linked (with) some of the vacancies elsewhere- because he is regarded in the industry as an impressive guy, who continues to build and impressive career, with a lot of the qualities that clubs are looking for in their prospective hires.
That’s not to suggest that he could be leaving- it looks like Postecoglou is there to stay and Spurs would hope for the long-term.”

Why Postecoglou’s decision to stay is a blessing:
Tottenham’s resurgence has much to do with Ange Postecoglou’s hire as manager. He had been on Liverpool and Manchester United’s radar for a while. This should indicate that his potential as a manager is seen by all. He has worked magic with Spurs, and letting him go would not be a wise decision at all.
Further, Postecoglou seems to have established a good rapport with all the players. They all seem to praise him in interviews and talks, and his presence in North England has also allowed many new players to bring their talents to the club. His reputation as an excellent manager precedes him and one should not take it for granted.
With the Premier League so close, everyone is excited to see Postecoglou’s strategy going forward. After the team was so complacent with Antonio Conte, Ange’s work has brought a renewed vigour to Tottenham.
