Tottenham star sheds light on his good behaviour which paved the way for Bayern Munich move.

Tottenham Hotspur star, Eric Dier has given a decade of his life to the Lilywhites. Over 365 appearances the 30-year-old has recorded 13 goals and 12 assists for the team despite being a defensive star.

However, his life with the Spurs took an unexpected turn when Ange Postecoglou took the helm. The arrival of the Greek-Australian coach saw Dier fall down in the pecking order, to the point where he was almost forgotten.

But Dier never complained and left the pitch wide open for young stars to make a name for themselves. The 30-year-old is ‘proud’ of his behaviour, let’s have a look at what he had to say about it. (h/t The Athletic)

“Being here now, the thing I’m most proud of about myself is that I just persevered,”

“I trained hard every day. Tried to stay as fit as possible. And it’s pure blind faith.”

Well, Dier’s perseverance paid off when he was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich. After spending most of the season on the bench, the 30-year-old came to life and has solidified himself as a starter for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

This is a team that’s going to be playing in the Champions League quarter-final in the coming weeks. Surely, not a small achievement at all. Since his arrival, Dier has already made nine starts and will surely play a big part in the upcoming games.

The 30-year-old couldn’t be happier about the whole outcome and now gets to share the stage with his former teammate from the Spurs, Harry Kane.
