Auction alert? Top English clubs including Tottenham vie for Antonio Nusa this summer
Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Belgian club Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa, per Fichajes; however, the Norwegian has accumulated suitors from around Europe and especially England for a summer move.
The Lilywhites pursued Antonio Nusa’s signatures in the January transfer window after his move to Premier League rivals Brentford fell through in the eleventh hour owing to a complication during his medical. Thomas Frank’s side is unlikely to be granted a second opportunity to secure the services of the 19-year-old Norwegian teenager.
Any move for the Club Brugge winger would fit right into the North Londoners recent transfer policy to acquire high-potential young players who can be shaped as per Ange Postecoglou’s long-term needs. The 19-year-old has scored four goals and provided a further tally of four assists this season in all competitions for the Jupiler Pro League side.
However, acquiring Nusa won’t come easy for Daniel Levy & Co., as alongside Tottenham, the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City have also shown strong interest in signing the player.
Club Brugge are said to be wanting €37 million for Antonio Nusa, a figure similar to what Brentford had offered during their unsuccessful attempt to sign him in the winter. However, with the plethora of elite English clubs interested in his services, the Belgian club would want to acquire as much of the transfer fee as they can from the Norwegian. An auction situation will be ideal for the Belgian club.
