North London United – Can Tottenham hand Arsenal a lifeline in the title race?

Tottenham Hotspur have endured a difficult last few weeks, and it comes as a blurry spot in what has been a wonderful season that the club has enjoyed under Ange Postecoglou. To add to the out-of-form Spurs side, they are set to face Manchester City next week in a game that could end up conclusive to Arsenal’s fortunes in the title race.

Arsenal are tagged in a tug-of-war at the top of the Premier League table as Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola rub shoulders in yet another title race. The Gunners are currently at the top of the Premier League table; however, the Manchester Blues have one game in hand over the North Londoners.

Manchester City will face three London sides going into the end of the season: Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham. Arsenal will require help from their city neighbours if they are to win the Premiership this season.

They will rely on Tottenham to ensure that City drops points. Spurs are not enjoying a purple patch; however, they have always proven to get the better of Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, and Arsenal fans would be donning the Spurs whites hoping for the same.

Can Spurs stop City? Micah Richards gives his prediction

Second-half fightback not enough as Spurs must address issues for top-four push
Micah Richards is a former Manchester City player who supports Arsenal.

Former Manchester City full-back Micah Richards has spoken about who he thinks will win the City and Tottenham fixtures. Richards is originally an Arsenal fan; however, he is also an ambassador for the Cityzens.

He insists that looking at how Tottenham is leaking goals, City would not be as nervous before facing the North Londoners.

Micah Richards said on the latest episode of the Rest is Football podcast:

“If Spurs played Man City three weeks ago, I think the Man City fans would’ve been more nervous, but Spurs are giving away too many goals.”

“If they try to play that high line against Manchester City, they’re going to absolutely batter them. They’re going to have to change a little something.”

“It’s going to be an interesting game, but I just think Man City has got too much.”
