London rivalry intensifies as Tottenham Hotspur pursue West Ham United starlet Daniel Rigge

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bring one of London and West Ham United’s highly acclaimed talents, Daniel Rigge, to Hotspur Way this summer; however, new reports emerge suggesting the North Londoners may struggle to bring him to the N17.

John Wenham, owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, claimed that the Lilywhites could struggle to strike up a deal with the East Londoners for a possible move for the 18-year-old midfielder. This claim from Wenham comes after transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed that Tottenham are the favorites to land Daniel Rigge this summer.

Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham battle for West Ham’s Daniel Rigge.

Spurs will have to battle the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United to land the Hammers starlet. Wenham insists in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News that he does not see Daniel Levy & Co. acquiring the services for the West Ham starlet.

“It was interesting for Romano to report that we are chasing an exciting youngster such as Rigge,” John Wenham said in his exclusive interview with Tottenham News.

“However, where that story stopped for me was when I saw that he still had two years left to run on his pro contract at the London Stadium. He isn’t a free agent, so Tottenham will try and negotiate a deal with West Ham, but how often do transfers happen between those two clubs in reality?

“If he was out of contract, then I could see it happening, but West Ham hold all the cards, and as a result, I don’t see this deal coming off.”

He signed his first professional contract last October and should soon be knocking on doors to make his debut for the Hammers if he keeps up his impressive performance. Tottenham are London rivals with West Ham, and it is difficult to see a deal getting over the line unless astronomical aggregates are offered for his services.
