Tottenham set for summer exodus as Postecoglou revamps squad

Tottenham Hotspur are set for a mass exodus at the end of the ongoing season following the recent blitz to what was a successful season under Ange Postecoglou at N17.

The North Londoners have made massive progress under the Australian gaffer’s tutelage, and they will be looking to build on the progress under the former Celtic coach this summer. Daniel Levy and the officials at Spurs will be preparing to ensure that all arsenals are provided in Ange Postecoglou’s armor next season.

Three straight losses spark talk of major summer overhaul at Tottenham this summer.

The Australian-Greek tactician has done a massive job to unite the club and ensure that it is growing as per his process and project. However, as the club grows, it outgrows a few players, and that is a problem at hand for Daniel Levy.

The Lilywhites are actively looking to raise the quality of their squad, and to achieve this, they plan a squad overhaul that will see fringe and underused players depart Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This helps in vacating the spaces for new players and also ensures that the club has extended financial boundaries to help with new recruits.

Emerson, Royal, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Richarlison are listed as three big- names that could depart at the end of the ongoing season, per The Telegraph. To build on The Telegraph’s report, Football Insider acknowledged that under-fire midfielder Yves Bissouma will be given one more season to prove his worth at N17.

Now, journalist Darren Lewis and former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood insist that the shakeup at White Hart Lane is bigger than what the media expects. The pair insist that Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur could be part of their outgoings this summer.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, Darren Lewis said:

“I think what’s going to happen at Spurs is four or five players are going to leave. I don’t think Richarlison has a long-term future at the club. Kulusevski has gone off the boil. There are one or two players in the midfield that I think are okay. Hojbjerg I think will go in the summer.”

Sherwood added:

“It looks like Bentancur will go. If you asked Tottenham fans, they will tell you he is the best midfield player they have got. Bissouma was outstanding at the start of the season. They have all gone off the boil at the same time. Maddison, who was a revelation, not anymore.”
