Tottenham eye Everton wonderkid Douglas Lukjanciks
Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in bringing Everton starlet Douglas Lukjanciks to White Hart Lane this summer; however, they will face competition from Xabi Alonso’s invincible Bayer Leverkusen side, per The Sun.
The North Londoners are looking to invest in young players with high potential, and they have lived up to that lately as the links for Lukjanciks have intensified, with reports suggesting the youngster could be on his way to Hotspur Way. The likes of Pape Sarr and Destiny Udogie have already shown their quality in the first team, while Spurs are expecting Swedish prodigy Lucas Bergvall, who is on his way to the N17 in the off-season and is expected to have a very bright future indeed.
While the Lilywhites are also doing brilliantly with their academy group, they are investing in bringing top talents from across the country to learn the Spurs way, and that is where the sixteen-year-old Everton-ian comes into the picture.
Spurs battle European giants for England U17 keeper
Lukjanciks is a goalkeeper by trade and has already signed on schoolboy terms with the Toffees; however, it is expected that he could leave the Merseyside Blues for a reported fee of £10 million. With this being a profit generated from the sale of an academy player, it will count as pure- profit in the financial records at Goodison Park, which should do worlds of good in their struggles with FFP compliance.
Attaining his services is a difficult conquest, as alongside Tottenham, the likes of Leverkusen, Aston Villa, and Marseille are all looking to sign the England U17 star.
