Son’s days at striker numbered? Tottenham target deadly finisher
Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign marquee number nine in the summer transfer window, and they have been subject to links with multiple players, with the name of RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko recently popping around the rumour mill.
The North Londoners are in dire need of a new striker, as they have yet to replace Harry Kane, who departed White Hart Lane last summer. Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has played Son in the central position in the recently concluded season owing to injury problems to first-choice ace Richarlison. However, playing the South Korean skipper in the middle has been a touch and go, and he will look to sign a clinical striker to lead the line next season.
Sesko to Spurs? North London giants eye Leipzig striker
Benjamin Sesko has been subject to links with North London neighbours Arsenal, while, per Fichajes (via. caughtoffside), Tottenham and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on a possible move for the 20-year-old this summer. The Slovenian ace has enjoyed a brilliant season in Germany with a tally of 18 goals in all competitions and has been tagged as one of the most exciting up-and-coming strikers in Europe.
Any move for the Red Bull Salzburg academy graduate will be a reasonable investment. He can become a key player for Tottenham in their pursuit of greatness under the Australian gaffer.
Daniel Levy will be looking to take advantage of the already established line of connection with his current employers as the Lilywhites have an option to bring another striker from the German club in Timo Werner this summer.
