Spurs mull expensive gamble on Bournemouth’s in-form striker
Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign marquee number nine in the upcoming summer transfer window, with ample strikers linked with a possible move to North London, and the list keeps on increasing as Spurs are contemplating a move for Bournemouth ace Dominic Solanke, per TALKsport.
There is a dire need for a new striker at N17 as Ange Postecoglou looks to sign a Harry Kane-esque figure on his roster for next season. The North Londoners are yet to replace the England international, who bid adieu to White Hart Lane last summer. The Lilywhites search for a Harry Kane replacement is further amplified by the potential departure of Richarlison this summer, significantly increasing the need for a new striker in North London.
Can Solanke be the new Kane?
Bournemouth’s number nine, Dominic Solanke, has seen his stock rise following exemplary performances at Vitality Stadium under Andoni Iraola’s tutelage. He has scored 19 Premier League goals in the recently concluded season, with the Cherries owner admitting the possibility of the club looking to cash in on former Liverpool’s ace fine form this summer.
However, Solanke is under contract with the Dorset-based club until the summer of 2027, which makes it a difficult conquest for Spurs. They will have to make a significant effort, complemented by an equally significant financial incentive, to convince Bournemouth to part ways with their star striker.

Solanke has ample amour in his arsenal, which depicts his similarity to Harry Kane; however, it is to be seen if Daniel Levy & Co. thinks he has enough tank to take on the leading role at Spurs.
