Double raid? Tottenham eye Chelsea duo Gallagher and Chalobah
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be overlooking a massive summer overhaul in the off-season as Daniel Levy & Co. look to build on the progress that the club has made under Ange Postecoglou‘s tutelage, and Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is one of the prime targets for the North Londoners.
The England international has been on Spurs’ radar for a while now, and it is said that the Lilywhites would prioritize securing his signatures if he were to leave Chelsea this summer. The Australian gaffer in charge of Tottenham is said to believe the former Derby man to be perfect for his high-intensity system.
Recently, Teamtalk revealed that the West Londoners would like to balance their books with the probable departure of the 24-year-old midfielder. Selling Conor would result in pure profits in the books of the Blues, which is vital to their PSR compliance. His contract at Stamford Bridge will expire next summer, and Chelsea will be looking to retain a financial income from his sale rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in 2025.
Spurs believe that they can secure his services for £35 million, while Chelsea are holding on to a round-off £50 million figure.
Will Spurs pay up for Gallagher and Chalobah?
As Spurs look to sign Gallagher this summer, he is not the only Chelsea player they are looking to bring to North London. Per Graeme Bailey, Tottenham are also looking at fellow Cobham graduate Trevoh Chalobah. He claims that the North Londoners recently ‘made contact’ with Chelsea over a deal for centre-back.
Like with Conor, Chelsea are also happy to part ways with Chalobah.
