Ederson becomes hot property after Europa League win
Tottenham Hotspur are linked with a move to sign Atlanta midfielder Ederson ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites are linked with multiple midfielders in the build-up to the upcoming summer transfer window, and it clearly looks like a position that Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy are actively looking for in the market.
Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Atalanta’s Brazilian midfielder Ederson. This comes after Ederson’s impressive performance in the Europa League final win against Bayer Leverkusen last week.
Spurs eye Ederson! Brazilian midfielder to fill Hojbjerg void?
Spurs are in dire need of upgrades in the heart of the park with football. London suggests that signing a number six would be a potential position of priority at N17 for the summer. This is where Ederson comes in, and he could fill the void left by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer.
Ederson is a physical midfielder with a massive engine to operate in a box-to-box role, something that Spurs would love in Ange’s playing style. The Australian gaffer likes to operate by making line-breaking passes that generate transition-type scenarios for his front line, and Ederson can do a lot of good with his tactics.
Spurs witnessed him as he shined against the ‘invincible’ Leverkusen; however, it would not be easy to secure his signatures, as the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, and Juventus have been interested in a move for the Brazilian alongside Newcastle United and Spurs.
