Luca Williams-Barnett and his path to prominence

The owner of Tottenham podcast Lilywhite Rose, John Wenham, has heaped up praise on academy prospect Luca Williams-Barnett. He believes that the sixteen-year-old prodigy will continue to feature for the club’s under-18s next season.

Daniel Levy & Co. are looking to create an environment that pushes youngsters to thrive and attain their potential. Spurs have started a process of not only signing high-potential young players but also ensuring they develop the ones already at Hotspur Way. Luca Williams-Barnett is the next exciting prospect in a long list of highly-rated midfielders coming out of Hotspur Way.

Williams-Barnett has been taking opportunities in the under-18s towards the conclusion of the season, as the wide-forward started six games with a tally of two goals and one assist.

John Wenham, speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, has rated the sixteen-year-old as one of the most exciting prospects coming out of Hotspur Way. He said:

“I was pleased that Stuart Lewis played some of the younger boys up toward the end of the season, such as Williams-Barnett. He is an Under-15s player, playing up two or three years and starting in front of other players.”

“Williams-Barnett is seen as one of the outstanding talents in his age group. He is likely to continue featuring for the Under-18s next season after his performances. He is an exciting, tricky left-winger with an abundance of pace, good skills, and an eye for goal.”

There is a plethora of young players coming up at Tottenham. Moore is already making waves in the first team at sixteen, and the Spurs now have another player with high potential ready to make a name for himself.
